Sixteen frames of sixteen were here,
and fifteen from fifteen here,
and fourteen from fourteen here,
and as year after year, as limbs extend and dreams unfold,
I hope to continue this rhythm of reflection for the reason
I shared most from the deepest places of my heart here.
See, they’re more than just pictures to me.
Because as I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again,
my Savior Himself was a storyteller,
His parables holding existence’s greatest miracles within simple words
just as He held the greatest love within His life.
And if these images can hold just a glimmer of the Light He is to us,
if they can hold the words of gratitude within our story’s trials and valleys we walk daily,
I’ll keep framing, I’ll keep making, I’ll keep singing this song, our anthem,
that despite our continued shortcomings and setbacks,
in the midst of real heartbreak
and the simply unexplainable,
Truth
and Grace
and Breath
and Hope
are real
and found
in Christ alone.
—
“In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
More of our daily musings here.
And the stories behind the seventeen images above can be found here.
“This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.”
Hebrews 6:19
